Provide current tax clearance certificates and proof of up-to-date CIPC returns, UIF, and SDL payments.

Actively support traditional leadership, honor South African cultural values, and support in rural community development.
Ethical Practices:
Uphold standards for worker protections, anti-slavery policies, and impactful corporate social investment.
Ongoing Alignment and Commitment:
The Royal Charter recognises organisations that demonstrate a sustained commitment to these values and to the well-being of customary communities.
1. Prepare all required supporting documents from the checklist.
2. Complete the online application form.
3. Upload the required documents.
4. Evaluation of the application and supporting documents is conducted by RACC.
5. Visitation invoice (once-off) is issued and payable before the Community Partnership Visit is scheduled and handled by a CIBA member.
5. Outcome is communicated to the applicant.
6. Charter invoice is issued (monthly) for payment and the Royal Charter granted.
CIPC Registration: Your official Company/NGO registration document (e.g., COR14.3).
ID of Authorized Signatory: A clear copy of the ID/Passport of the person submitting the application.
SARS Tax Clearance: A valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or PDF certificate.
CIPC Annual Returns: Proof of your most recent annual return filing.
Proof of Payroll Compliance: Your latest statement of account or proof of payment for UIF and SDL (if applicable).
Community Initiative Portfolio: A brief document (Word or PDF) or photos detailing your work in rural or traditional communities.
Letter of Recognition (Optional but Recommended): Any letter or acknowledgement from a traditional leader or local community authority.
Applicants should be able to confirm that their operations are conducted ethically, including the absence of forced or exploitative labour, either through existing policies or by declaration during the application process.
CSI Summary: A summary of your social investment activities or a letter confirming your financial/resource support to community causes over the last 12 months.
